Couples booking through Snapdragon Weddings will receive a complimentary catered barbeque for all guests staying at their villa (value c. €25 per person) - a fantastic way to celebrate the night before or day after your wedding with family and friends!
Both of the villas are located in Umbria, close to the border of Tuscany. San Crispolto is situated on Lake Trasimeno, Italy’s fourth largest lake, whilst Villa Baroncino is nestled in gently rolling hills to the north of the lake.
There are a number of potential venues for your wedding ceremony, including the Cathedral and Town Hall in Cortona, the chapel at San Crispolto and the villas and grounds themselves.
San Crispolto is a beautiful, historical villa, originally built in the 13th century as a monastery. It has been lovingly restored and furnished with antiques fitting its style and history. It accommodates up to 25 guests in 12 bedrooms, 9 of which have a view of the stunning Lake Trasimeno. The estate also features an on site chapel and spectacular grounds with magnificent gardens, olive groves and a swimming pool, not to mention breathtaking views over the lake.
Villa Baroncino was built in the 18th century and started life as an olive mill. The estate is now made up of two buildings – Villa Vittoria and Villa Adele, which between them can accommodate up to 50 guests in nine apartments and four suites. The grounds, which include two swimming pools, are one of the villa’s biggest attractions. At the main gate an avenue lined with cypresses and dotted with lavender and rose bushes leads up to the villa, while the gardens were created using flora typical of the Umbrian and Tuscan regions. The estate has its own vineyard and produces Baroncino red wine, which you could serve to guests at your wedding reception! There are also more than 500 olive trees on the estate, producing an excellent extra virgin olive oil.
At both villas a permanent marquee is available for weddings, accommodating up to 80 guests at San Crispolto and 200 guests at Villa Baroncino. Both marquees can be heated for year round use and have sliding glass walls which show off the views to perfection and can be opened up completely in the summer. They come fitted with beautiful chandeliers, antique terracotta floors and speakers for background music during dinner.
Both villas also offer a superbly furnished Wedding Suite for the Bridal couple, providing the perfect accommodation for your first night together as husband and wife.
